Eddy$ is virtual gift money, technically stored value, that consumers can share, exchange, and redeem, directly from a mobile phone. Eddy has combined the original social glue of gift-giving, with the convenience, speed, and security of mobile payments, to completely reimagine what used to be accomplished through paper gift certificates or plastic gift cards.

It’s easy.

To buy and send Eddy$, simply select a gift merchant and gift value ($10, $25, $50, $75, or $100). Add your personal message, a photo or video. Provide your payment method, and the name and number of your gift recipient. Set your gift to be delivered privately (for you and your gifter’s eyes only) or to be shared within your friend group, or the Eddy community at large. Then tap send!

To redeem Eddy$, your recipient simply adds it to her Apple or Google wallet, visits the gift merchant, and taps to pay via a contactless/mobile payment.

Yes! Eddy$ is as secure as any brandname credit or debit card in your wallet. That means Eddy is subject to the same strict regulatory compliance as all the major card networks. And our platform ecosystem is comprised of the same secure banking technology and payments infrastructure as all the major card networks. Eddy uses bank-level security to protect your account credentials and details. All data storage is PCI compliant, and your account information is never ever shared with any third parties.

Of course! As a merchant, all you need is an active account to create, promote, and sell your own Eddy$. Once activated, you can promote your very own link or QR-code via your in-store signage, your website, social media and messaging platforms, anywhere you like. You can even send Eddy$ directly to your customers via text or email.
